David looked around and smirked. His first showdown at the Quick Arena, atop Hexagon Building. That fresh air was just what he needed to feel ready to battle.

(OOC: Becuase David's team isn't established with more than 3 Pokémon, I'll be using an additional one, Walrein.)
"Okay! Don't forget, three Pokémon only!" He yelled out, remembering his uncle's words. "I'll give the first step!"
David took a Pokéball from the belt and threw it to the air, grabbing it again before crouching. With a swift move, he jumped with a rotation, throwing the Pokéball straight to the middle of the field.
"Walrein! You're up!" He shouted as the Pokémon emerged from the beams of light.

"Okay the rules are not cheating." Yera took a Pokeball from his belt and set it to the air saying: "Go Torterra" The Pokémon left by a beam of red light "Tor-terra"

David smirked and took a step back to have a better view of the battle.
"Walrein! Use Ice Beam!" He shouted, as the air got colder around Walrein's open mouth, shooting an instant ray of solid ice.

"Damn, I should know that Ice hits 4x to Torterra, Torterra use earthquake" "Tor-terra" The Pokémon has a jump and hit the ground causing an earthquake that caused a few damage to Walrein.

"Walrein, hang on!" David shouted, trying to remember whether ground moves we're too damaging for Ice types. But there was no tme to waste with that. "Walrein, we're changing strategy! Use Blizzard!"
"Wal!" The Pokémon shouted back, just before evokating a large snow storm that fell over Torterra.
"This should do the trick..."

"Good enough! Walrein, apply Earthquake!" David commanded, and the Pokémon obeyed.
Rising on its back paws for slight moments, it was enough to fall and provoke an Earthquake, a rambling fissure that rumbled towards the Rapidash.

"It's your chance, Walrein! Use Ice Beam directly on him!" David commanded, and soon, Walrein released a beam of ice towards Staraptor. It was bound not to miss, from such a close distance.
