FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
Need answers to your question? The question you can’t seem to be able to pose? Perhaps the solution is here:
We take it you know what a Roleplay is, and what it’s needed to Roleplay in a Pokémon Forum. So I’ll go straight to Gateway.
Q.: After reading the rules and Policy, I didn’t understand something. Does this mean that I am to start wandering around?
A.: Yes and no. You only wander around what you want in one of the never-ending roleplays like Trainer Journeys. This is because there is no plot and there is real destination. You choose your way. In others, we expect roleplayers to know how to follow the story the creator of the RP planned.
Q.: Do I just give myself wandering Pokémon? And what happens in the fight until someone joins in my Topic?
A.: Technically, yes, you do. But everyone is pretty sure to not find a wild Mew in the middle of the Viridian Forest. The hyperbole is self explanative. About the second half of the question, look at it this way: the roleplay isn’t just about fighting. That’s point 1. Point 2 is that you can’t post again – unless it’s a bump, for example – until someone else posts. You can’t proceed if someone doesn’t join, that’s true. But it’s unlikely that nobody will join.
Q.: If this were true I could have a Mudkip (level 5) beat up a Rapidash (level 45) until I caught it then have a very high level on my team.
A.: First up, we don’t base ourselves in levels. We don’t expect roleplayers to godmod, in other words, never losing or being almighty, as so, we don’t expect such a thing to happen unless that same Mudkip is trained.
Q.: But what is to stop someone from coming into my RP and godmodding themselves?
A.: Us. Moderators. Admins. Global Mods. YOU. You can warn the staff that such has been done if you don’t want other people in your RP – other than the select people you chose – and someone else joins.
Q.: What about the items? And money?
A.: They’re included in godmodding. You aren’t a spoiled rich trainer, but you aren’t a broke person either.
