Max Vs. David; 3 vs 3.

Max was practicaly smirking as he walked into the battle arena, Flame by his side as he faced his opponet.

"Just because we're friends dosen't mean that I'll go easy on ya!" Max announced. Flame's back burst into fire, as if agreeing with what his trainer had said.

"We'll have to see that personally!" David yelled on other side, his Mightyena growling in agreement.

A Pokéball was already pendant from his hand, ready to be thrown.

"Well alrighty then!" Max practicaly laughed, taking a Pokeball from his belt. "Dusk, shall we start this?" Max threw the Pokeball out into the arena, letting loose the large Ghost-Type Pokemon.

"Dusknoir!" the Pokemon said aloud.

"Dusknoir, huh?" David repeated, putting the Pokéball back on the belt.

Mightyena knew he'd be forwarded, so he instantly jumped to the arena, facing Dusk with a menacing glare.

"Go, Mightyena!"

Max smirked. "Best you got?" he asked, though not trying to be mean. "Alrighty then! Dusk, use your Shadow Ball!"

Dusknoir!" the Pokemon nodded before holding up it's hands, creating a dark orb. "Dusk, Dusknoir!" The ball shot towards the dark type instantly.

David mentally designed a quick strategy. There was only one way to go.

"Mightyena! Use Shadow Ball! Match up with Dusknoir's!" He ordered, and the hyena Pokémon readied a glowing, dark orb between his teeth, firing it at the incoming Shadow Ball.

There was a loud explosion, and Dusk covering his face as some smoke and dust went flying everywhere. Max blinked before shaking his head.

"Dusk!" he called to his Pokemon. "Try to get up behind Mightyena! Then use your Hypnosis!" The Pokemon nodded before pracitclay disapearing, like most ghosttypes could.

It worked. David thought when the cloud of smoke rose, but quickly lifted.

"Keep your senses tightened! Watch out for the Hypnosis!" David commanded after seeing where Mightyena was. "Use Dig!"

"Dusk?" the Pokemon pracitcaly wondered aloud as he re-appeared, blinking as he looked around. "Where'd 'da Mightyena go?" he seemed to ask. Max blinked as well, though noticed the hole quickly.

"Watch out for where he comes up, Dusk!" he called. Then he had an idea. "Dusk, use Shadow Ball in the hole!" Dysk nodded before stepping forward, quickly launching a Shadow Ball down the hole.

David was rather confused because Dig was just an evasive move he couldn't force to last long enough.

There was only one way out of that place.

"Use Dark Pulse, Mightyena!" He ordered just before the ground exploded in a powerful dark energy, blasting away the tunnel.

"Dusk?" the Ghost-Pokemon eclaimed in confusion before covering his face, a few dirt clodes falling onto the ground along with a dark energy.

"Nice," Max blinked. "Dusk! Prepare your self for a Shadow Claw once Mightyena appears!"

"Dusk," Dusk nodded, dropping both arms. Both were slightly scraped from the blast. One of his hands began to abscure dark energy around it as he rradyied, looking around.

Mightyena quickly jumped out, lost in the cloud of smoke, despite his heightened senses of smell and audition.

"Mightyena! *cough* Try to... use energy readings to find yourself!" David shouted to the cloud, coughing from the dust.

Mightyena heard the order, closing his eyes.

However, it was no use. He couldn't find anything.

"Dusknoir!" the Pokemon cried as he thought he saw a figure.

"Okay, Dusk!" Max ccalled in return. "Use your Shadow Claw!"

Dusk, Dusknoir!" the Pokemon said, making a slight lurch forward as his attack was ready, hoping it could make a strike.

[Đ. Lawride]

"Cain!" The Mightyena cried after being hit by the claw rising from the shdows, hiting him without fail to project him out of the cloud of smoke.

David knew this wasn't nearly enough to hold Mightyena back.

"Use Dark Pulse again, Mightyena! Full power!" David commanded when the hyena Pokémon got up.

The energy field reappeared around Mightyena, doing away with the dust like a fan when the power was released.

"Dusk!" the Pokemon called, raising an arm to rotect his face as he went almost flying back, hitting him pretty hard. "Dusk, Dusknoir," the Pokemon said a bit slowly, lowering it's arm as it blinked.

"Dusk, while he's still standing there!" Max called. "Use your Hypnosis one more time!"

The Pokemon nodded before "standing" upright, holding up it's hands. Instantly, flases of it self began to powere as it began to try to lull the Pokemon to sleep.
