"I'm sorry, sir. But rules are rules." The butler insisted. "You cannot participate in the tournament otherwise. If it is of any comfort, you can buy your own potions in Gateway."

"Very well. Do not fear for your items." The butler added, accepting the bag and walking away. "Oh, and you must be present in the ceremony in a few moments. It will be held in the ship's main saloon."

"Just around that corner, first door left, follow the corridor, then enter the third door from the end of the corridor stated. Nothing to be mistaken."

Johna and Dustin were resting up on deck as the ship left the dock. They had gotten and eaten their food and were now just digesting it. Johna was not normally this relaxed but everyone deserved being that way at one point.
A ship staff member came up to him. "Excuse me sir," he said. Johna opened one eye and looked at him. "All trainers who are participating are to report to the main saloon right now to the welcoming ceremony," he told him.
Johna sat up. "If I must," he said and stood up. Dustin noticed this and in a flash, he was on his feet. "It seems everyone is gathering, and we have to too. This is going to be very annoying. Let's home there is some first class only seating, I don't rest too often and I don't want to be bothered by people I am going to beat,"
The prince and his pokemon moved so that they were walking down the inside corridors toward the saloon. Soon, they were there and found a comfortable seat in the back of the room, near a door he could go through if needed. Dustin stood next to him, poised for battle.

Shadix and C.V. had a good meal and where walking around the ship. They saw a group of trainers heading in one direction. Shadix pulled one of them a side real quick.
"Hey kid," she said to him, " where are all of you going?"
"We're heading to the main saloon." He said to her. "Everyone's supost to go there."
"I see, thanks." Shadix said before letting the kid go. She truned to C.V. "Come on C.V. we better head there." The typhlosion gave a nod as they fallowed the other trainers to the main saloon.
~~~~~~~~~
Shadix and C.V. entered the large room known as the main saloon. There where some tables with chairs at them and a large stage in the frount. Shadix sat down in one of the chairs and her pokemon layed down beside her.
"Let's see why we where called here." Shadix whispered to herself.
"It's time... to go to the main saloon..." David mumbled, scratching his head. "The ceremony is about to start..."
With that, he got up and exited the cabin, heading towards the saloon while Mightyena was left asleep over his bed.
(OOC: Trust me; this is going to get interesting now. ^^)
“Looks like a good seat here.” David commented, pulling the chair back and sitting down.
The butler was already getting up to the stage, holding a few papers in his hands.
“I would like to greet all of the trainers present tonight. You have embarked in a journey towards Gateway Island, to participate in the championships Master Rover has started. I know many of you have had some difficulties in adapting to these so-called new rules, but I will try to make it settled.
As you know, you are not allowed to use items in Gateway. At least, not items you have bought outside the islands. Master Rover does not accept that. Therefore, he has called the best stores in the world to come to the island and establish business there. You will also be given money. Your money, the Pokédollars, isn’t worth anything in Gateway Island. You will be given a small card on which you have the initial amount of 50 Pass Points, neatly disguised with the name PP. You are awarded PP for every battle you make, including those made in the Quick Arena.”
Someone entered the room and started distributing the passes, leaving immediately after.
“As I was saying, before you start buying items, you will need to carry a bag. Choose wisely. You can choose to buy one of our three available bags right now. You will forcibly have to carry one of the bags, or else you won’t buy any items.
You can choose the biggest, medium, or smallest bag. Each costs obviously more than the other, but it is rewarded with more space.
The smallest bag will cost 10 PP, it will carry 10 items inside it, including medicine and other items.
The medium bag will cost 20 PP, it will carry 15 items inside it, including medicine and other items.
The biggest bag will cost you 40 PP, and it will carry the largest amount of items, which is 20 items, including medicine and other items.
Choose wisely.”
Small: 10PP, 10 Items Medium: 20PP, 15 items Big: 40PP, 20 items
Johna narrowed his eyes and thought about the bags and the cards. He was a smart one, able to think to plan things. On the card he now had was 50 PPs. He could easliy use it to buy the biggest bag, however, that would bring him down to having only 10 PPs and while it would be easy to beat the trainers in a battle, it would be offaly inconvenient to only have 10 PPs to start out with, most likely meaning that he could not buy items right off the bat. Buying the medium bag would leave him with 30 PPs, which would be a lot easier and it was only five items away from the maxium. Plus, he had pockets and he could give his pokemon items to hold while they were in their pokeballs. Having the small bag would leave him with even 40 PPs but only having space for 10 items could not be made up with his pokemon holding items, plus, earning back the 20 PPs that he would spend would be alot easier than 40 PPs. It was rather annoying that he could not use his money, but that meant a test of planning and survival was at hand.
He smirked.
Getting out of his seat, he walked over to one of the workers. "Give me a medium bag," he told him. As he took the bag and got his card scanned, his eyes traveled over to the boy who had just bought a large bag and he smirked at him before walking back to Dustin.
Shadix thought to herself for a moment. It was hard to choise which bag would be best. The larger the bag the more items she could carry but the smaller the less items would be avalible to her. Larger bags coast more while smaller ones cost quiet a lot less. It was soon clear to her which bag would be better for her.
She got up and went over to the workers like a few others had. She asked them for a medium bag, the perfect choice. The largest bag was at an extremly high price, something she would not dare want jus because it had more space. She needed the PP for other reasons. One of these workers scanned her card then handed it back along with her newly bought bag.
"One step further to winning this thing..." She said as she walked back to the slumbering C.V. He had fallen a sleep even before the man uttered a single word.
Geais walked up to the counter, it might leave him with only 10 PP, but the space was worth it. "I would like the biggest bag please," Guldan stated as waited for the man to give him his bag and card. When he recieved them, he thanked the man and went to find his seat again, where he left Varme to gurd in case somebody wanted to take it. Sitting down, he waited for the ceromony to continue.
"You will win more PP as you battle through the tournament and in separate battles, as in the Quick Arena. Battles that are not registered cannot count for the PP compilation, so make sure you either battle in the Quick Arena or in the official coloseums." The butler explained. "Master Rover will be expecting us at the bottom of the Hexagon Building, where you will be taken to our hotel, Crystalline Silver, to check all of the trainers in while we sort we will participate in the first battle. Because of the tournament format, we will only do one battle per day, with the two participants being allowed to choose whether they want a 2 vs 2 battle or 1 vs 1."
