"...Unless you're planning to sleep in the dark with some potentially dangerous Pokémon on the loose in the city, be my guest. I'm going to the power plant and check things out." David finished, sighing.
She boiled in shallow waters, per say; he learned that in the few hours he knew her.
So, he should try to ignore her; and in his opinion, that'd probably be the best choice.
David detached the Pokégear and checked the map. Although not the most specific one, it told him enough: the shortest way to the Power Plant.
He knew there was one near Lavender, over the Rock Tunnel. But each city should probably have one used to regulate the amounts of energy. So the Pokégear couldn't be telling him a lie.
Ampharos was quickly called out of her Pokéball, and David ordered it to illuminate the area.
A quick jolt caused it's ruby-like tail to lighten itself in a blinding glow, allowing the Pokémon to be used as a lantern.
"Go ahead, Ampharos. We'll follow right behind."

Holly rolled her eyes. Potentially dangerous pokemon. Pfft, my -
“Yeah, sure.” she said sarcastically whilst deterring her mind from the word flow that was soon to come from this. Not looking back, Holly continued walking. “Have fun with that, but I’ll take my chances. There is no way I’m sleeping in a tree or going the whole night without sleep.” Besides, I have Luvdisc with me. she added mentally.
As Holly made up her mind, she continued walking and soon that other trainer was out of sight but not as quickly out of mind. Neither was this ordeal really. As she walked the empty, dark streets Holly listened for the sound of waves and kept her ears sharp. Still on alert if that thing showed up again, she began to think more and more about the creature thing than the water she was headed towards. This ultimately convinced Holly she was hearing noises and the coordinator began to get jumpy.
“There’s nothing here.” she told herself quietly. And there really was nothing there until awhile later. Convinced she was being silly though, Holly failed to notice it until it might have been too late. Footsteps where heard, and a blur of something streaked by her. Holly felt her hair flutter a tad as it did so and froze in place. The footsteps quieted and she listened. Heart pounding in her ears and threatening to shatter her little rib cage, Holly let her hand slide to her pokeball. There was another sudden dash as something flit through the shadows and suddenly a huge hand came out to cover Holly’s mouth.
Frozen in her angst, Holly couldn’t move. She didn’t know what to do. The person wasn’t speaking and by not doing so were scaring her more and more. In a sudden flail of panic and a futile attempt to escape, the blonde ducked and dropped to her knees but she didn’t know the effect of the move because the next that happened nobody could have guessed.
[Hum…make of this what you will. The person can be whoever, I have nothing in mind really. As for what happens next, haha - no clue. But please make it something. >.< Also, I just wanted to post before I poof away into exam mode. -.- Uuuughhh, save me!!!]

"Well, what do we have here...?" Glenn smirked down at the girl. A Sneasel appeared behind him, its eyes glowing in the darkness. "It appears you're here all by yourself."
A Piloswine appeared right after, holding, around the horns, a bunch of cables, dropping sparks from their tips, apparently electrified. However, the Pokémon just stood there, and the three were now facing the girl.
"I wonder... maybe you're just a meddling girl who's trying to get into our plans... If that's so, you cannot be here... perhaps you would like to go swimming with the guard's corpses?" The Sneasel stepped forward and showed its claws. "Now, now... don't go scaring her just yet..."
It was Glenn who took a step forward now, trying to take a closer look at her.
"After all..." He snapped his fingers and turned around. "The fun's just begun..."
Sneasel opened its arms and grabbed her, with Piloswine behind to keep her still.
Glenn started to walk away between his laughs, trying to decide what to do in that case.
"Hmm..." David sighed, looking at the mess. "Looks irreparable, if you ask me..."
The wall seemed to have been completely teared apart, as if something slammed against it and then ripped off the cables.
The trainer looked up at Ampharos and frowned.
"Sorry, girl... even your electricity isn't enough to power this whole thing up."
The Pokémon also seemed to frown, somewhat disappointed.
"There must be crews heading here to repair it, so it's none of our business, now."
Mightyena barked and pointed to the docks with his head. David threw him a glare and folded his arms.
"She's well on her own. Besides, what could go wrong here? It's Vermilion City, there's a police station here... So we gotta get to the PokéCenter and get some rest. Pidgeot's getting us to Viridian in a few hours."

Holly’s breath began to come out in short huffs of fear as she turned to gaze up at the man who had just stepped out of the shadows. Alone?….she was, damnit! As the man began to speak, Holly’s eyes widened and she stood, taking a step back in her terror.
“I-I don’t know who you are, but I have nothing to do with your… power outage scheme or whatever!” she exclaimed trying to mask her fear futilely. Holly continued to retreat and took another hesitant step backwards. Then a nasty looking Piloswine stepped forward with cables hanging all over its horns in an intimidating fashion making her heart beat faster. The man began to scrutinize the coordinator then and Holly felt exposed; just the way an item or trophy felt when it was to be examined and placed on a careful shelf until a day the winner was angered and smashed the thing to the ground.
Suddenly, something grabbed her and the gross looking Piloswine advanced locking Holly in a body bind of sorts. Between the two pokemon, she was absolutely trapped. Squiggling fruitlessly in a vain attempt to worm herself free, Holly cried out in her despair.
“No! Let me go! I’m not involved in this at all!” she exclaimed. But the figure only retreated further into the shadows leaving her there squashed and in pain from the sharp hold of the two devil creatures.
[YAY! I'm back! xDD Hehe, sorry for the suckish post - its the best i can do right after exams. I'm drained. -.-]

Walking up the lighthouse, Glenn began to smirk as the light grew stronger. They were approaching the top.
"Well now, we shall be viewing the stars! Perhaps they will appreciate a sacrifice!" He muttered, snapping his fingers and pointing at the top of the tower. "But tell me..."
He stopped and looked into her eyes.
"How do you feel about going for a swim?"
"Let me go!" David yelled at his Mightyena, who was biting his arm to push the trainer towards the port again. "She's well on her own, damn it!"
The hyena glared and let the arm go, retreating.
"If you're so worried, you got after her!"
And curiously, the Pokémon turned and ran away, searching for a scent to follow.
A Pokéball appeared in David's hand; but he was hesitant.
"He's never failed me... maybe he's right..."

Holly struggled futilely as she was hauled by the two pokemon through the unfamiliar city and towards a lighthouse in the distance. How had this happened?! Why had she of all people had to get involved with this mess? No, she had to get away! As the lighthouse drew closer and closer, a light could be seen circling up top momentarily catching Holly by surprise and pausing the girl’s squirms. Why was the light on if the power of the entire city was out? Remembering that the lighthouse in Sunnyshore was pretty much solar powered, she figured this one must be the same. It must have absorbed energy by day and used it by night.
Upon entering the dark thing and being forced up the countless stairs, Holly began to become desperate. She needed to get away from this man! The horrible trek up the stairs was uncomfortable but Holly squirmed no more. If she was to get away it would have to be through a diversion or other plan because these pokemon where much stronger than she was. Suddenly, before she could begin thinking about an actual idea, the man spoke terrifying the young coordinator out of any tactics she might have possibly come up with.
Sacrifice? He wasn’t serious?! The damn stars wouldn’t care if she was killed! And it certainly wouldn’t this cynically crazed man in any way. Then, as the daemonic thing turned to gaze at her, Holly felt his gaze shock her nervous system actually prompting a chill to run up the blonde’s spine.
“S-swim?” she echoed in a whispered panic. What was this man’s problem?! What was he aiming for? Was he going to throw her off the top or something? He had serious insanity problems and belonged in some sort of mental stability institute! “I-I’d rather not.” was all she was able to squeak in reply.

"Oh?" Glenn replied, pretending to frown. "That's a shame. I heard the waters in the proximity of Vermilion have been haunted by Sharpedos and Carvanhas..."
The grunt continued his walk up, finally stepping out to the tower's top.
"Feel this air... such a fresh air should be preserved..." He said, snapping his fingers at his Pokémon again.
The two Ice Pokémon brought the girl to the edge of the lighthouse, where Glenn was now watching the sea.
The lighthouse's lights suddenly turned n, spreading across the sea to guide the ships...
However, two freights, two mysterious ships were sailing towards land. They did not seem like a cruiser, nor a fishing ship.
And accompanied by them were dozens of Pokémon by sea and sky, heading towards them at high speed.
"Do you see that?" Glenn said, pointing out the army. "That is what the future holds for Vermilion."
He suddenly took her by the jacket and pushed her head to look down the tower. The bottom wasn't even visible due to the darkness.
"Unfortunately, you will not be able to see it...!" Glenn finished, and just as he was about to let go of the girl, a howl echoed the port.
As he turned his head, he could see a pair of red, glowing eyes staring directly at him.
"A Mightyena?" Glenn said, laughing afterwards "That's all you got? A Mightyena?"
He rolled his eyes and pushed Holly back.
"You'll have to do better!" He yelled, pushing her forward once more, but this time to throw her over the protective fences.

Sharpedos and Carvahanas…..not the friendliest of pokemon when hungry! Holly shut her eyes against the thought and began to panic. As the evil little troop reached the top of the lighthouse, the coordinator’s heart began to beat frantically against her tiny rib cage threatening to shatter it. The space was so big and so wide and so high that she could barley think straight! It would have been a beautiful sight had Holly not been in the current situation! Over the dark waters she could just make out a few blearily musky shapes but before they came into full view, Holly was forced to the edge of the lighthouse platform and beside the man. At that moment the blinking light of the lighthouse‘s signal, which had been off, suddenly switched on blindingly from behind them outlining all four figures as it shed light over the surrounding waters.
As the evil man spoke again, Holly was forced to look over at the silhouettes in the water. Her stomach lurched from the height and she almost vomited right then and there. Heights where a drastic fear of the young coordinator’s and she couldn’t stand being so far from the ground. Bile began to rise up her throat threatening to bring up the rest of her not-so-dinner and Holly gazed over the water. Forcing the impulse back, she listened anxiously as the man spoke. The fate of Vermillion? Forcing her blurred vision to clear, Holly let out a gasp as she realized what the shapes actually where! A whole hoard of pokemon both aerial and sea faring where coming into the city in an attack as well two immense ships loaded with who knows what! The city would never withstand that, especially un-alerted! She and the rest of Vermillion’s citizens where doomed.
Then, before Holly could formulate something of a coherent reply, she was grabbed by a rough hand and slammed against the iron bars only just keeping her from a fall. As she was forced to lean over all the way, Holly was only just supported by the hand and bar as she gazed down in terror to the bottomless depths below. There was nothing in view as the black night covered her death bed in a silken veil. Again the bile began to rise in Holly’s throat and she knew she would vomit soon. Her feet where inches off the ground on the other side and the blonde almost toppled over the rail when suddenly a piercing howl echoed around the port catching both her and the man’s attention. Holly used this moment as he slacked his grip in distraction to force herself back upright and put her feet on the ground. Whirling, her blonde hair fluttered as Holly turned.
At that same moment, a Mightyena came skidding into view hackles raised and snarling with a menace at the man which Holly could barley fathom. It had come! It knew! But…how? Thoughts of chaos tripped over themselves through Holly’s mind as the pokemon advanced threateningly towards the man. Where was the trainer though? Before Holly could think any more, the man laughed and jerked her back and forth. Then in another jerk, he swung her back towards the rail with such a force, the blonde coordinator was tossed over the rail headfirst. A short but piercing scream echoed throughout the port as Holly felt herself go over the rail. She saw the black and white stripes of the lighthouse flash before her then in an instinctive lunge she reached for the first thing she could grab.
Swiping blindly in the air, her fingertips managed to brush the man’s heels then she slipped down below and out of sight. Just as she did so, Holly grabbed one of the supporting rails of the lighthouse that was positioned under the platform. Biting her lip down hard, the girl held on with her right hand for dear life as she dangled there over 400 feet above the waves that crashed loudly below.

"My, my, my..." Glenn snickered, bending over the fence to stare at Holly. "You seem to hang to life..."
The Sneasel who was holding her walked up to her hand, readying its claws.
"Perhaps I should cut you loose..." He gloomily approached his face to the girl's even more. "For good."
With that, Glenn snapped his fingers and Sneasel cut both sides of the iron rods that made up the fence, forcing it to fall down.
"Holly!" David's voice echoed from the darkness, followed by the sound of wings flapping gracefully in the wind; and the trainer appeared on his Pidgeot's back, extending his hand while yelling: "Grab my hand!"

Holly’s right hand ached from the amount of pressure she was forcing herself to cling to the bar with. She didn’t know how much longer she could hold on like this. When the man’s face suddenly appeared with a malicious snicker, she grit her teeth and glared at him. His threat made her heart skip a beat then begin to pound twice as fast as before, if that was possible. The advancing Sneasel cut two bars with a sharp snap and the railing which circumscribed the lighthouse platform, the same one she had only just recently been shoved over, came crashing down. Holly saw a large section of the railing begin to fall and shrank away on her tiny bar beneath the platform in an attempt to keep from letting the other knock her down. The railing passed by quickly but with a sharp edge from where it had been clipped and, despite Holly’s attempt to avoid the dangerous flying object, her shoulder caught on it’s corner and a deep gash slashed through her skin. Wincing in pain, the coordinator tightened her weakened grip on the little bar as the other railing fell to the ground below.
The pain was far too much for her to keep holding on for long and Holly’s fingers began to slip. Heart pounding in her head and blood beginning to slowly dribble down her side from the shoulder wound, Holly’s fingers slid and she slipped. A yelp escaped her lips as she tried to grab it again but the bar was already out of reach and she was falling. All the pain left her and Holly could only feel the wind rushing by making her blonde hair rise up with her skirt. She was about to die yet…felt oddly calm. Suddenly, her mind jumpstarted itself and began to swirl with thoughts of her Luvdisc. Was she just going to let it die too?
Holly scrambled in her haste to find the pokeball and hoped to toss it onto a passing platform so that it wouldn’t be smashed if she fell on it. It was just at this time that a cry sounded in her ears making her pause. Then, in a rush from the dark shadows, a trainer appeared with an extended hand. Holly lunged for that hand and was able to just catch the trainer’s fingertips with her own. Looking up into the face, she was immediately surprised.
“David?!” she exclaimed. Then another thought struck her. He must have figured out my name from that ridiculous riddle I gave earlier. Shaking her head of pointless musings, Holly lifted her other hand and grasped his slipping fingers with all of hers. The falling had stopped but she still hung over 200 ft from the ground. Looking down, Holly felt her stomach knot and bile begin to rise up her throat; she was bound to vomit within the next few minutes. Looking up, she pleaded with her expression that David do something and quickly. Oh, what a situation!

"Grr... You're slipping off!" David muttered, using his other hand to reach for her only grip. "Pidgeot! U-turn!"
At the sound of the command, David used all of his strength to literally throw the girl in the air above him, aided by Pidgeot's sudden dive in the air, performing an agile u-turn, ending with the girl on his back.
"Mightyena! Get back!" David quickly called with the Pokéball in his hand, calling the Pokémon back inside from the top of the tower, trying to focus on holding onto Pidgeot after a quick release. "You okay?" He asked the girl.

Holly held on as well as she could to David’s hands and furrowed her brow as she tried to grasp his fingers more tightly with her own. As the Pidgeot was given a command, Holly waited then felt David’s finger slip from her own. Alarm registered in her mind before anything else but when she saw the trainer and pokemon dive below her, Holly realized the idea.
Landing with a slight bit of a painful thump on the pokemon’s back, Holly winced as her shoulder throbbed. She listened quietly, trying to focus on nothing in particular as David ordered his Mightyena to fall back. Then as she was asked how she was, Holly could only nod even though she was far from alright. She didn’t want to say anything aloud in fear of losing every once of the precious sanity she had left.

Not seeing a real response from her, David turned forward again and grabbed the Pidgeot's feathers tightly.
"Come on, let's get us out of here." He added, carefully pushing the feather grip to the right as if it were a steering wheel.
Pidgeot responded and began drifting to the right, disappearing in the darkness.
"Dang it... They escaped..." Glenn cursed, punching the iron fence. "I knew I should've killed her..."

Holly tried to keep her mind clear from the blurriness that threatened to overcome her. As David took control and they began to move away from the dreadful lighthouse, Holly let out a disconcerted sigh. Then, as the ground was still out of view and Pidgeot made a turn, she gripped David’s shirt between her fingers in a fear that was much less than that she had felt before. Heights were still something that made her stomach turn but the fact that she was likely to survive this decent made it less terrible. Holly knew she was safe for now, but for how long?

David discreetly sighed and brushed his hair with the hand. Now wasn't that a close call? And an even closer failure?
"You ought to tell me what the heck you were doing with that guy." He said, detaching the Pokégear from its strap. The map of Vermilion was shown, zoomed in on their area like a GPS.
