Holly was silent a moment still not trusting her voice to speak. After a short pause, she took a chance and opened her mouth. “I was on my way t-to the port when he grabbed me.” she said in a soft, quivering voice. Suddenly everything that man had said atop the tower came rushing to the forefront of Holly’s mind. “There’s an attack!” she then exclaimed unexpectedly. “I-It’s coming to Vermillion. We have to warn O-Officer Jenny!” she continued. Her voice quivered still from the experience but Holly was determined to do something about this. The figures that had been seen over the water and been heading steadily towards land must still be out there despite her escape from that man. There was no way everything was over yet.
Taking a shallow breath, Holly squeezed David’s shirt and spoke again. “T-there where two ships and…m-many pokemon.” she said. “We have to d-do something! They won’t stop any time soon.” Her shoulder ached and blood was still oozing freely from the wound but Holly bit her tongue and waited to see when they would land. Her stomach was still churning from the height and the sooner she vomited the better.

"Damn, you're bleeding." He noted, rather ignoring the coming of the army. "We gotta land somewhere... I think we're flying over the PokéCenter."
David attached the Pokégear again and grabbed Pidgeot.
"Okay, land right here, Pidgeot!"
The Pokémon chirped and dove softly, stopping right in front of the moon-bathed building.
"Come on, let's go." He said, jumping down the bird's back. "We can deal with all those Rockets later!"

Holly took note of her arm but was surprised David was more concerned about her wound than the safety of the city. It made her feel special yet…he should really care more about his hometown than her. As Pidgeot began to descended, Holly shut her eyes to keep from looking and squeezed David’s shirt again. Too bad she didn’t have anything else to squeeze. This was bound to get awkward soon.
Once they landed, Holly opened her eyes and watched as David jumped off. Then, carefully she let herself slide off the pokemon’s back and turned to give it a grateful pat. “Thanks; both of you.” she said softly. Then her heart skipped another beat at the thought of the one who had really saved her.
“Wait, I need to see -” before she could finish the sentence Holly’s stomach finally gave way. Pushing David out of the way to keep him from getting…wet, she vomited all over the ground right in front of the PokeCenter. It was disgusting and wet and once she was finished Holly’s whole system felt weak. Bent over, she brought a hand to her mouth waiting to see if her stomach was finished.
Once she was sure, Holly let out a sigh and slid to the ground in an exhausted state, both feet splayed out by her sides. The puddle of ick smelled bad but there wasn’t much she could do to get away from it. There wasn’t much she could do to get back up again either.

"Dang! Holly!" David yelled out after being pushed and seeing what happened. He kneed down and grabbed her by the back of the head. "You're definitely needing assistance..."
Arceus give me strength...
And in a quick move, David put an arm underneath her legs and lifted her up, placing the girl on his back.
"Now hang on!" He said before running into the center in search of the nurse.

Holly heard the cry and suggestion but her head hurt and she couldn’t bother thinking clearly. The turn of events that night had really taken a toll on the exhausted coordinator. She had been kidnapped, dragged up a lighthouse, a man had attempted to kill her and then the very same trainer she’d made an idiot out herself in front of - had come to her rescue. The world seemed to love the way it had the ability to throw people together, didn’t it?
Holly didn’t have time to ponder these thoughts much as her head was then grabbed and she let out a soft noise of discomfort in response. “Ah, ow..” came the soft grumble as her face contorted grumpily. Blonde hair blew softly in the warm wind that still managed to blow despite everything that had happened and it would continue to blow through thick and thin not caring what went wrong in the world. As Holly sat there with her head between David’s hands, all she could think to do was sit still. She didn’t want to go inside and there was no way her feet were getting her there.
Suddenly, David bent over and scooped her up to Holly’s great surprise. Her eyes where wide as she was placed on his back and Holly positioned her arms around David’s neck to keep from falling backwards from the sudden move. Then, she released him and wrinkled her nose. Holly momentarily wiggled feebly in an attempt to resist his help due to her stubbornness. She could walk! Well…crawl….
Coming to the conclusion she could actually not get herself into the center, Holly sighed and her head cloud again. As the bright blaring lights of the PokeCenter came into view she shut her eyes against the obnoxious glare and rested her forehead against David’s shoulder with a groan. Arceus, this was bad!

Crap! David thought, hurrying into the center, which had finally gotten its lights back.
He ran to the sofas an carefully placed the girl there, turning his head around at the same time to check for anybody who could help.
All he spotted, though, was the nurse, who rushed to his side to check on the girl he left on the couches.
"She passed out all of a sudden and..."
"She's just exhausted." The nurse cut in, leaving David to stop and sigh in relief. "She needs rest. You'd better rest a little, too. And if that's your Pidgeot there, bring it in. It seems tired, too."
David nodded as he received ordeers - order, something good in the middle of that chaos. His jacket was damp from having flown in the middle of the mist and then so close to the water, so he took it off and threw it to a nearby couch.
He quickly headed outside and called Pidgeot back in its Pokéball, and then gave the four on his belt back to the nurse.
"Please heal them. I'll keep an eye on the girl." He said before heading to a couch on the opposite side of the table set where she was placed.

As Holly tried to keep her consciousness, she saw dark figures move blurrily in and out of her line of sight. Deciding it would be best to give in to the exhaustion and not fight it anymore, Holly laid her head on David’s back and let out a weary sigh. The last thing she did manage to clearly see was the back of his head before everything faded to black.
~
Holly was sitting cross-legged in the middle of a blank, empty space with nothing visible from any angle whatsoever. It was if space and time coexisted in an alternate dimension without actually existing at all aside from letting her sit there, drenched in some cold, blue fluid shivering like crazy. The blank space was somewhat maddening but the blonde coordinator could do nothing except sit quietly, shiver and stare at the ground. Where was she? What was this place?
A sudden flash in the never-ending white startled the coordinator making her lean back and become unbalanced in her surprise. Looking around and having been brought out of her trance like state, Holly’s heart pounded loudly in her chest as the young girl propped herself on an elbow to look a round. The space was silent and white just as it had been moments ago. Then, out of nowhere another flash came except this time and image was projected in the space below her - what would normally have been the ground.
The image was fleeting and far too quick for her to catch a glimpse at what it had been. Confused, Holly stared at the ground while another flash flickered along what would have been the left wall. Snapping her head in that direction, Holly missed the flash again. Another appeared behind her then one on the right each flash decreasing the amount of time the one prior had in order for it to flow in succession. Soon, the flashes were repeating so quickly it was like the movie screen projecting the scene which Holly now saw was her being thrown off the lighthouse.
Scrambling to her feet, the coordinator tried to turn away from the images but they all began to close in on her until suddenly the floor gave way and she began to fall right out of the nonexistent space into the waves she could hear crashing below. As she fell, Holly saw the lighthouse passing by her and the feeling of falling and the drastic height came rushing back to her making the coordinator scream.
Then, as if out of nowhere she hit something hard that began to swoop into the clouds high above anything Holly had ever seen before. The thing she was on turned sharply left and right as if trying to throw her off and soon the coordinator began to feel the effects of motion sickness. Just as the flying thing made yet another awkwardly angled turn, it succeeded in throwing her off and once again made Holly find herself falling.
Drowning in fear and moments later - water, the girl couldn’t wake herself from the horrid nightmare she knew she was in the middle of. Splashing frantically as the giant waves crashed and threatened to pull her under, Holly tried to cry out but nobody answered. The next thing she saw was the face of that evil man that had tried to kill her projected in the waves as it smirked and audibly repeated the impending threat of her death. He would look for, hunt and kill her sometimes in the future. That was the promise. The next moment another wave came up and crashed over Holly dragging the girl down.
~
A scream echoed around the PokeCenter as Holly’s eyes shot open and the girl jolted upright. Tears were streaming down her face like waterfalls and she was drenched in an unnatural sweat in a complete state of hysteria. Bringing her hands up to her face and covering her mouth, Holly panted trying to bring herself under control as the tears continued to run down her face endlessly. Sitting there she shivered uncontrollably as her heat pounded threatening to stop at any moment. Images of the nights events flashed through her mind working the coordinator up more and more until Holly didn’t even know where she was or what she was doing. Tears simply streamed down her face as she shook frenziedly until the point came where she stopped breathing.

"She's awake." The nurse called, walking out of the healing room, where Holly had been placed some moments ago after David got his Pokémon back.
The trainer lazily yawned and got up, stretching as much as he could; he knew he wouldn't have time to do that again any time soon.
Pondering over the girl's recent news, David was/wasn't rather astonished. Team Rocket organizing massive scale attacks wasn't anything new to him; but killing her for their own profits... That didn't seem right.
Mightyena noticed his master getting up and walking into the room, so he followed suit. Ampharos, Pidgeot and Walrein were still asleep, outside their Pokéballs.
"She doesn't seem to be feeling very well, though..." The nurse added as soon as David was inside.
"I'll take care of it." He replied, patting the girl on the back. "Come on, it's okay now... it's over. We're away from that man now."

Holly continued to sit there crying her eyes out in a discombobulated heap.
“W-where am I?” she managed to stammer between the unnatural and violet shivers coursing through her body as tears streamed down her cheeks. Everything was a jumbled mess in Holly’s mind as the girl turned and saw a somewhat familiar face beside her. “D-David?” she asked trying to confirm if it was really him.
As Holly continued shivering from the traumatizing scenes flashing before her, she covered her face in her hands. It wouldn’t go away! It wouldn’t go away! The falling, the feeling of death creeping up on you, the state of not knowing what was going to happen next and not knowing what was tangibly there and what was not…it wasn’t the most pleasant experience she‘d ever had - in an extreme understatement.
Shoulder’s heaving from the excessive shaking, Holly tried to calm herself. She was being silly, David was right. The man was gone, she was safe for now. “B-but what if he comes back?” she suddenly exclaimed with a small hiccup. “And what if the attack on the city becomes something massive? What about Mightyena? A-and Pidgeot? Are they alright?” Question after question slipped from Holly’s lips as the young coordinator tried to being herself under control.

"Calm down, calm down..." David tried to soothe. He was awful int hose situations. "They're all okay. Not a scratch."
He sighed as he thought about what to reply on the attack.
"We..." He started, but then stopped in hesitation. "I..."
Speak up!
"The attack's been confirmed..." He spoke out with a firm voice. "We're planning a counter-attack, but we'll need all the help we can get."

Holly nodded and tried to bring herself under control. It was humiliating to cry here like this in front of David of all people. Taking a few deep breaths she closed her eyes and steadied herself. Wiping all tear traces away she turned to him and nodded again. It was past. Her small hysteria spasm was gone and Holly was ready to help.
“A-alright.” she said. “I’m glad to hear they’re all fine.” A small smile flit across her features and Holly made a mental note to hug Mighteyena later on if she got the chance to see it. Now, swinging her legs over the side of the couch so that she was sitting normally, Holly looked around and saw she was in a PokeCenter. “How did I get here?” she asked in confusion. There was nothing to her immediate recollection that told Holly she’d ever walked into a PokeCenter.
Shaking her head, the blonde sighed. “It doesn’t matter. What matters is what are we going to do? Do they need us to help in the counter attack as well?” she asked. Holly knew that if it came down to it she and Luvdisc probably wouldn’t be much help against the entire oncoming fleet of attackers. But she was determined to do something to help save the port city.

The flood of questions led David to stop for a moment and mentally sort them according to the important and most important ones - and then to the ones she said weren't important.
"The counter-attack... we're still planning it. We've seen Rockets come from the sea and from the air. Vermilion is completely surrounded by their troops, and the Power Plant was taken over, apparently. I overheard an alert broadcast in the radio, a while back." He explained, passing his hand through his hair. "So, we're still trying to decide what to do. There might be a million reasons for them to come here, and another hundred chances to find the right Rocket in command of this all. Ariana and Archer were defeated in Johto, and Giovanni's been missing for a long time..."
Mightyena sat at the sound of the word "Archer".
"He's... hum... gotten a certain interest in beating Archer to death." David explained.

Holly sat quietly as she listened to David’s report of the ongoings. What had happened in the time she’d passed out, and how had she come to be in a PokeCenter? More importantly, what was the plan of attack to stop the impending Rockets? The information David passed along didn’t seem to have any sort of organized action and Holly bit her lip in anxiety. So nobody knew who the rocket in command was. That was alright, they could still stop the fleet right? Outnumbered, overcome and at all odds against any sort of positive outcome - Holly suddenly had a sinking feeling of despair. How long had this assault actually been in the works over the past few months? While she had been traveling all over Hoenn and finishing her first journey, Team Rocket had been planning to take over of the Vermillion Port. That was a disconcerting thought.
“So what do we do now?” Holly asked in a very matter-of fact tone. She knew she wasn’t going to sit there and wait for something to happen. She had to do something; help in some way. “We have to do something in the meantime, right?” she asked. “I mean, if we let them advance enough to actually reach the port we’ll be at even more of a disadvantage.” The blonde girl chewed her lip nervously. There had to be something they could do. Find a way to block the entrance into the city, lock the port, put up a wall of defenses, infiltrate the main ship in command - something!
Holly sighed and frowned, pondering over the very limited options she felt presented with. This was, in short, a slight disaster. Catching David’s last few sentences, the girl raised a brow. Mighteyena didn’t like Archer; that was understandable. Holly didn’t know anyone who did really. Standing, the girl walked over and crouched beside the big hyena pokemon and hugged it gently. “Thanks for saving me by the way, Mightyena.” she whispered quietly before ruffling one of it‘s big fuzzy ears. Standing once more, Holly dropped a hand and ran her fingers across the pokemon’s fluffy head letting them dance there absentmindedly while she pondered the situation again.
“Well,” she sighed after a moment. “In the meantime, while we figure out what to do, does Officer Jenny know? Probably; you said there was a force planning action, right?” Holly blinked.

As his head was patted and softly scratched, the Pokémon's tail began waggling, closing his eyes and raising his head like a puppy who just wanted more.
"Ahem..." David quietly coughed, raising an eyebrow at Mightyena's reaction. The Pokémon, though, didn't even bother to listen. "Yup. We're planning the counterattack with all trainers that were trapped in the town... and some of the police forces. Hopefully she's there too." He sighed, crossing his arms.
His eyes scrolled to the outside of the emergency room, where a group of trainers were sitting around a table with several notebooks and their Pokémon, most likely planning a strategy of their own to present later.
"I'm pretty sure everyone's doing their best to cook a way to annihilate Team Rocket. I can't say for good, but..." He paused, frowning. "Well, just keep them away."
A thought came to his mind; His hand reached for the back of the belt, where the Pokéballs were placed; he had the nasty habit of verifying if none of them had been stolen.
"Hm... What Pokémon do you have with you? That can fight, I mean." He asked, presenting the four items he had. "I can bet we'll reach a strategy if we check what Pokémon each other has."
